| My electrician installed 8 4" mr16's in my remodel. The trims emit light on the outside of the trim and don't fit completely flush with the ceiling. Electrician say the builder needs to mud and patch more for a better fit and builder says its best to use adhesive caulk around the rims to seal and keep light from spilling out. I don't want to seal trims unnecessarily and worry that the halogens may make the adhesive "melt". Is this a viable solution or is my builder taking the easy way--he'll be gone soon and we'll be left with these cans that look like we installed ourselves. OUGH!I cannot enjoy these lights right now. Help!! Thank you. |
