LED for 5' can

Posted by silverraven (My Page) on

Is there a screw in LED bulb that will fit into a 5" can? I have a recent remodel and hate the thought of changing out the cans to 6". Will a LED for a 6" can work in a 5" can? I definately like the look of the warm light as opposed to the cool. And I need at least a 75 watt equivalent, 100 would be preferable.
Thanks for all your info!

RE: LED for 5' can

There are a couple of very good 5" replacements.
This one: is probably closer to a 65 watt bulb.
This one: is much brighter, but also more expensive. It also requires that you can access the back of the can. As you'll have to put the driver in the can's junction box.
