If "sparkle" is what you're after, I'd use a clear glass shade and a clear bulb. Use a clear halogen bulb to get the whitest light possible in whatever wattage you choose.

You'll lose the sparkle as dirt accumulates on the light, so you'll want to clean it frequently if this is your goal.
