Under cabinet light model Philips eW

From what I am reading on this forum, it seems like the Philips eW under cabinet light is the way to go. Has anyone installed this product? To be direct wired does it need a transformer? Does this light heat up the bottom of the wall cabinet it's attached to? Is it difficult to install? Other than the light itself what other material will I need to install?

No transformer is required. The heat output is negligible. Installation is fairly straightforward, depending on your wiring setup and skills.
Look at the specs as they detail accessories which might be needed for your particular install.
