I was very excited to read that inexpensive and dimmable LEDs were now available in the form of the CR6. Unfortunately, however, my builder couldn't come up with any information (the Cree rep wouldn't return the calls of his lighting store).

I did find a local source, but they said they would charge $90 + $20 for the recessed can. This is substantially more than quoted here, where people were getting them for about $60 each, especially since I would need quite a few of them. How do I get the prices mentioned here?
