We are finishing up construction on our new home and would love to install an ornamental cupola with a dim light inside. Since the roof is already on and house is sheetrocked, how would we go about doing this? What is the best option for low maintenance lighting? I read a little about fiberoptic and LED but it is definitely beyond my scope of understanding. Would an electrician even be willing to take on a job like this? It would require getting up on the roof of our attached garage. Where do we even start with an idea like this?
