Lighting a pergola

We are going to have a pergola built in our backyard and I was looking for suggestions for lighting ideas. One thought i had is mounting downlights (maybe like the picture attached) to the side of the posts. Concealing the wires is one major question. What would be the best way to hide the wires? The builder is gpoing to use 6"x^6" posts. Any other pergola lighting ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks
