Artwork spot light wall spacing

I am building a theatre room in my basement and was wondering about how far spotlights need to be spaced from the wall for washing art work.

The art work is a 27x40 movie poster. The light fixture is Kendal Lighting MPGU-15 Line voltage Monopoint Adjustable Spot Light. the finished celing hieght will only be about 7'6" due to a soffit.

I suppose the posters will be hung such the top of the post is about 6.5' from the floor in order to be mostly at eye level and slightly above.

It seems that the fixture has a great range of adjustment and should be able to accomodate about anything. But what is typical for spacing of the fixture from the wall? I guess this might be more of an issue with recessed can lights but I can't go with those as they're too high price wise. there will be 11 of these fixtures and the only IC rated 3' or 4" cans I can find are about $120 each all included with gimbal trims etc.
