I'm hanging two pendant lights over my 36" bathroom vanity. One of these lights will be in a corner since the vanity is in a corner. I'm looking to maximize the distance between the two pendants since the vanity is only 36" wide. Therefore, I want the pendant in the corner to be relatively close to the wall. Could someone please let me know the minimum distance required between the bulb/light and the finished wall? The fixture is 60 watt max with a lily-shaped glass canopy about 6" wide. I would imagine locating the light too close to a painted wall would be a fire hazard so there must be code relating to this. As of my current plan the ceiling box will be centered 6" from the finished wall. Any help would be much appreciated!
