| we have an eight foot high ceiling and a 30 inch high kitchen table. We would like to place a fixture over the table. What should the distance be from the ceiling to the top of the fixture? What should the distance be from table to the bottom of the fixture?
thanks for your thoughts |

| The bottom of the fixture should be 30" from your table top is what I was told at the lighting store. For every foot higher in ceiling height you add 2 inches. Not sure of your first question regarding distance from ceiling to top of fixture. The length of chain will depend upon the size of your fixture and the height you hang it above your table. |
