Can This Chandelier be 'Swagged'?

Hi,

I'm a little confused about swagging chandeliers. Do you need a special type of chandelier to do this or can you swag a 'regular' one? I need to put this chandelier under my table, which is not centered under the existing chandelier.

If I use this chandelier (http://tinyurl.com/3notswb), can I 'swag' it so that it is centered over the table? I would a heavy-duty hook, etc.

Thank you for any help.

Your message says you have 70% of the solution. You just have to be sure the weight carrying hook is not only heavy duty but also anchored well. Just screwing into drywall won't work. You will need to consider the weight of the fixture and whether a wood screw into wood will work or whether a more substantial support is needed. I would suggest that you enlist the help of a good electrician who does lighting installation.
