Safe to install UL rated flush mount upside down on column

Hi,

I am looking for a low profile column mount light for a low column at the end of a sitting wall on a patio. I currently have Minka Lavery Berkley lights with seeded glass as wall mounted fixtures around doors and the column mount at the end of a wall. The column mount Minka Lavery Berkley is too tall for the new sitting wall installation.

In my cyber travels I have come across the Feiss Homestead Flush Mount fixture http://www.murrayfeisslight.com/lighting/4-10-669-0-22799/Murray-Feiss-Lighting_Flush-Mount-OL1013ORB.htm . I think it would look great installed upside down on top of a column but am unsure if that is safe to do. Is there an expert out there that can tell me if it is safe to install a UL rated flush mount ceiling fixture upside on an exterior column?

Thanks in advance!
