Armacost UCL Lights?

What are your thoughts on Armacost UCL LED tape lights? They have good reviews on Home Depot and are very inexpensive, as UCL goes. We are considering using them, but I'd like to hear from the experts at GW! I'm concerned with the color of light--I would like it bright yet warm. Also I'd like them to dim well and be bright enough for task work. Finally, Im looking for something that is long-lasting. Thank you!!

RE: Armacost UCL Lights?

Just learning about LED strips myself. Looked at your home depot link. Interesting how they package this as a 12 foot length (4 meters) when ebay sells 5 meters. They also don't say if it is 3528 or 5050 but the lower watts requirement indicate it is 3528 which puts out less light than 5050. The 3000 indicates it is a warm light versus 5500~6000 cool white. The hours are 50,000 so they are no longer lasting than standard leds. The photo shows non waterproof - don't know what kitchen grease, cleaning chemicals will do to non waterproof.
