Due to construction on our 2nd floor, I finally have access to my living room ceiling. We currently have a single can light in there and wanted to add a couple more.
I started to look into recessed LEDs but have a few questions. We will probaby use the existing can light to jump off of - so instead of 1, there will be 5 recessed lights on the existing switch. I assume that is not overload, is it?
Also, if we install regular housings, can we put LED bulbs in down the line if we decide to?
My last question is regarding a dimmer - there is NOT a dimmer on the exisiting light but I assume that we would just need to put in a dimmable bulb and dimmer switch - not other special accomodations needed, correct? If we decide to put LED bulbs in later, would a transformer or any other special pieces be required - or just the proper dimmer switch?
