Recessed lighting layout help

Posted by marathonman40 (My Page) on

I am trying to layout the recessed lights for my kitchen remodel. The kitchen is 14'-6" x 12'. The ceilings are low (7'-4").

There are wall cabintes on the long wall, but not over the stove and work surfaces next to the stove.

One directly over the sink.

Would there be a hood and light(s)? One light on each side of the stove, centered near the edge of the base cabinets.

I would use the spacing of the rafters and counter edges to estimate the approximate locations of the rest of the lights.

Was the ceiling lowered on purpose?
