How to wire landscape lights

Posted by crabapplemcn (My Page) on

I am installing several outdoor low voltage lights and have a multitap transformer. My question is about how to wire a zone of 2-3 lights. The lights will only be about 10-12 ft apart, should i wire the lights in parallel or locate the wire to a spot between the lights and split/branch off to the 2 lights? Will there really be much noticeable voltage drop if they are wired parallel (one light then to another)? thanks

To answer voltage drop questions requires details. You can go to many of the major landscape company websites for suggested cable layouts and voltage drop tables.
