LEDs where a single old light exists

My house built in 1962 has the normal older dome light fixtures in each room and in the hallways. I'd like to replace them with LED recessed lighting and also add more LED recessed lighting (in a room with one existing old light I'd like to install four LED recessed lights).

Will this require new wiring to my breaker box or will the lower power consumption of LEDs be equivalent to the existing light? I'm trying to get an understanding beforehand so I don't get duped by my repairman.

Thanks!
