| I live in a split foyer home and we have drop ceiling between the floors... I would like to brighten up the room and make it a LOT more modern than the standard drop ceiling with three random squares with 2 poles of fluorescent bulbs. |

| Fluorescents are out of fashion now, but you will not find anything that provides better, more even lighting at a comparable cost. In your place, I would rebuild the lights with modern electronic ballasts and high-CRI lamps. But then I'm more concerned with practicality and economy than fashion. |
