| I'm restoring an antique brass floor lamp with a heavy cast iron base. The base is rusty and there is no sign of the original paint. Before I grab a can of rustoleum matte black, I thought I'd just check...any suggestions?
(and I'm not painting the brass!) |

| I prefer satin black, especially if it's next to brass -- the sheens match better. Or the dark bronze (not hammered bronze) -- it has more warmth than the black, but is still very dark. |
