| Hi, I'm in the beginning of a kitchen remodel.
I had 4 recessed lights installed by the electrician and they were inspected by the town inspector. They are all on the same switch. Today the ceiling was closed up by the contractor. Tonight after the lights were on for a couple of hours two of the light went out at the same time. The covers have not yet been installed on the lights and they have a 60 watt bulb in them. (size specified by the light) Does anyone know what is going on? I'm afraid of a fire in the ceiling. I'm calling the electrician in the morning, but want to know what to expect. Thanks |

| Could just be a bad bulb... Are they incandescent or fluorescent fixtures? Why would there be a fire? |

| I would say they are overheating. Sometimes insulation covers the can and causes this. I've seen this several times. I wouldn't worry about a fire, the reason they shut off is to prevent this. Good luck! |
