I've written a short discussion thread on this forum about recessed light cans which should be a good starting point.

If you use the Cree CR4 (4") or CR6 (6") , there is no difference in the light output level.

Those that you suggested are only 2700k, which is a bit warm to us. We prefer 3000k plus. And we live in california, I think we have to follow title 24?! We have bought the housings already, halo h7icat. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
