Lighting help with Kitchen needed

We've got our cabinet layout set and are working on the lighting now. I've read a few of the threads on this board and realize i need approx 35 lumens per square foot for general lighting.

Our approx sq feet is 171 * 35 lumens = 5985 lumens

We already purchased the Eco-Smart CREE 6" LED downlights from Home Depot when they were on sale last week for $30 (still available btw at some locations for that price!).

5985/575 lumens (6" downlight)= 10 lights

Here is a rough sketch of the layout I came up with. I'm not sure if it's too much? Should I be using the pendants in the equation or should I just use the downlights and consider the pendants additional lighting? Also, should we have another pendant over the sink or is it ok to have one of the downlights over the sink?

Symbols

yellow circle = 6" LED downlights

green circle = pendant light over the peninsula
