Is it possible to put 6" recessed LED light in this kitchen?

My kitchen has a sun tunnel and track lights. Can I replace the track lights with 6" recessed light?
My contractor said five 4" recessed lights would be much better. 6" lights would be too big. I have my living room and family room installed 6" recessed lights. I really like the 6" ones. Is it possible to put five 6" recessed lights in my kitchen?
