Our home was built in 1987 and has ugly recessed light trim that in the size 7.5" wide with a 5" opening. In addition, the trim bulges out a nit from he ceiling and is a light silver color. What options do I have to swap out this ugly trim for trim that liles flat against the ceiling? Also, we are doing some remodeling and I don't want to add new lights to match the old ugly ones but I can't afford to remove all the old cans and install new smaller cans. Has anyone run into this problem? If so, what was your solution?
