recessed lighting trim won't install tight to ceiling

I have just installed several 6" elco sloped ic air-tight housings and am trying to figure out why the trims (installed with standard type springs) won't tighten flush to the ceiling. The trims will push up tight to the ceiling but then settle down just a little bit. Is there a solution?? What can I do, please help me. Thanks

Sounds like the housings are not installed deep enough.

The trim hits the housing before it is seated as you would like it.

There may be some mounting tabs you can carefully bend to get the trim tighter.
