The tension in the springs is what holds the lamp in the can.
Things to look at
1. Adjusting the butterfly spring holders so that the lamp is pulled deeper into the can.
2. The location of the butterfly spring holders. Best when both are at the same level, not one at the top of the slope and the other at the bottom.

Caulk will not hold the lamp in-place for long.

Wow you must be superman! My problem now is I dont know what butterfly spring holders are.

The RT6 has a metal hook that looks like a J. The only adjustable part in the Halo fixture holds the edison socket and does not attach to the RT6. Guess I could rivit something for the J hook to grab.

I just thought there must be an easier way as most homeowners dont do much metal work.

There should be 2 oval protrusions on the insides of the can that are intended for use with the springs.

Nope, Oh well sheet metal work in my future, Ill quit trying to make it work for now and move on, I can cook with out the lights but the vent and counter tops are necessary.

So much for spec sheets!

In the picture of a H7ICAT, you see 2 protrusions at the sides - one near the bottom and the other near the top. Those are the holders for the springs to go through.
