Are these pendants too big??

We're doing a complete kitchen reno...

The island is 63Lx38W. I'm looking at 2 schoolhouse lights that would hang over the island as pendants. They are 8" in diameter x 8" high. Do you think they are too big for the area? There would be 2 1/2 feet separating them.

I don't think so. That's only 16 inches total. I think you could go a little larger. I'd want to make sure those will give you enough light on your island.
