| I am putting ceiling fans in this room and I'm wondering at what height should they be placed? At the same height as the beams or above them? I was initially going to go higher than the beams, but the builder is suggesting at the same height as the beams, so as not to compete w/ the beams visually.... SUGGESTIONS? Thanks!

| I would be tempted to go just BELOW the beams - this way you would always see the fan from any spot in the room, whereas if it is flush or above, it will get hidden behind the beams depending on where in the room you are... |

| I agree. Put the fans so the blades are just below the beams. |
