We hope to replace our two-tier island with single level island. Struggling with location of switch for pendants over island. We use these lights frequently and I prefer them to be on a separate switch-hopefully on the island. Is it possible to use an airswitch for the lights? Any other thoughts? Thank you!

" Is it possible to use an airswitch for the lights?" As long ZS ou stay under its power rating. Do not even get al tat close to the max rating. Incandescent bulbs like electric motors, but shorter time) pull larger currents at turn on till the heat up. Just a few cycles of the power line, but it will eat up contacts not rated for it. If the switch is horsepower rated you need to covert that to watts. Since the switch is already rated for GD motor start-up, the HP rating would be a good starting point.

Another option is to use a wireless switch.
