title 24 ceiling fans?

| Hi fellow Californians, I was wondering if you knew if the Title 24 energy star requirements needs to also apply to ceiling fans? I am looking for a 44" ceiling fan with a light for my bedrooms. There are not too many energy star options. I can put the light on a separate dimmer switch, but not sure about the fan itself. Would love to know if it is required to be title 24 compliant? ceiling fans are supposed to be a way to save energy anyway, right? |

| Taking a quick look at the 2008 Title 24 standards, it appears to only cover the lighting portion of a bedroom type ceiling fan. |

| thanks yosemitebill! i read through it also but could not find anything about the fan portion. i am hoping that means there are no requirements specified for fans. |
