I found these mini-bright fluorescent lights at a local hardware store w/a 13 watt color corrected fluorescent bulb included. They are advertised as being ideal for under kitchen cabinets. Made by Michigan Avenue Industrial Corp - more like for - (made in China).

These were really cheap $1.99 a piece.

Do you think they are worth installing on the bottom of my new cabinets (when I get them) or do you think they may not last long or might burn my cabinets or worse, my house, down.

Is it always true that you get what you pay for in lighting?
