There are two decent LED MR16s on the market. First is the Green Creative CRIsp Series, which are available in 2700ðK in either 25ð or 36ð beam spreads (video describing them here). The other is the Soraa Vivid 3, which are also 2700ðK and offer a 10ð spot as well as 25ð or 36ð beam spreads. If you get the 10ð Soraa, you can also attach one or more of their "snap" filters that will expand the beam up to 60ð, change its shape to a square or rectangle, or lower the color temperature. Soraa also has info online about their bulbs' color and white rendering prowess. Both of these brands' MR16s can be used in damp locations, but not wet locations where they are directly exposed to water. The Soraa can be used in a completely enclosed fixture, the Green Creative cannot.

The US Department of Energy did an exhaustive test of LED MR16 bulbs a few months ago, and these two were the clear standouts (on the measured performance chart page 8, #1 is the Green Creative and #3 is the Soraa as shown on pg.23, although they measured the 3000K versions). Although both brands claim 95 CRI, the DOE found those claims to be conservative with the Soraa measuring 96 and the Green Creative 98 CRI (!). The Soraa bulb in that report is their 2nd-generation design; since that report was published, they've introduced a 3rd generation that is similar but more efficient and is now on par with the GC bulb at a claimed 7.5 watts.

Thanks for the links. Looks like some really good MR16 options (expensive, but they last forever), and I have a few of those fixtures. Wish I could find some comparable quality wedge-base bulbs though.
