Help with Tudor Outdoor Lighting

Hi all,

I am new to Garden Web and am hoping that you can help me pick new lights for our new entry. We have a 1920 English Tudor home and we added a new stone entry way. Unfortunately, we didn't think alot much about the lighting and had to pick something quickly to make sure that the electric boxes got placed correctly. After living with our choice for a few months we have realized that the lights are definitely not right for the home. However, I'm just not sure what type of light is right. We can accommodate about 15H and 8W as for dimensions.

I would greatly appreciate your comments and ideas of the right lights for our home.

Your entry looks beautiful. Since I have no idea what 1920's english tudor should look like I did a quick google image search. I think the lighting is on the right track. If anything they just look very new. Before replacing them maybe you could try to age them. I think if the color was more bronze or something to match the door and address plate.

Nice entry. I don't think those lights look bad. If you want to try something different, maybe the Abington, Revere or Westminster styles - see link below. When I replaced my outdoor fixtures, I went with Hanover Lantern - very good quality, but not cheap. Made in the USA, believe it or not.

Be sure to get the right size fixture.

Maybe a nice seeded glass or frosted glass with a verde copper or bronze finish?
