Any suggestions on laying out laundry room approx. 14x6.
I would love to see some ideas.

There is a thread with aprox 1 million photos that should prove useful. Spans from 2007 to Sept of this year. Good stuff!

RE: Show me your laundry room layout.

Can you describe the room itself? Dimensions are just a starting point. Are there any windows? How many doors are there, and where are they? Is the room a pass-through, or can it be closed off? Are there any radiators or baseboard heaters that can't be moved?

Are you planning on using pedestals for the w/d? If you aren't using pedestals, you could have a folding counter above the w/d; otherwise, you'll need to find another place for folding. Do you want a sink? Will you be doing your ironing there? Does the room need to accommodate other activities (bill paying, etc.)? How much storage do you need?

Given the width of the room, you'll probably need to put everything along one long wall. You'll need at least 3' (preferably more) clear floor space in front of the w/d for loading/unloading, so you really won't be able to put anything on the opposite wall, except possibly a fold-out dryer rack. If the short walls don't have doors, you might be able to do an L-shaped or U-shaped layout.
