Sorry I have no personal experience of any of these machines.
I think that the Centennial is the only machine to reach your price point and volume requirements (there are less expensive GE and Whirlpool models than the Centennial but they are not the Cabrio or Profile). Given that the last machine almost caused a fire you need to review how that happened. If it was due to a clogged vent...you need to review how the new machine vents to reduce the possibility of fire in the future. Before you order you should also look at the installation instructions and make sure you can successfully install it without moving the vent or gas line (or know that you have to do that). You will also need to make sure the door swings the right way for the space or that it is reversible.

^Agreed and I would add it's not just clogged vents that can cause issues. How often were the innards of the dryer cleaned?

My recommendation for people just buying just a dryer alone is just the basic 29" Whirlpool model with the lint filter on the top panel. Reliable and performs well. Don't bother with dryers like the Cabrio that are designed to match higher end washers. They're just tarted up versions of the same basic dryer design that's been used for decades. They have color options, gimmicky features, and fancy control panels but no real improvements in technology. All that just means more expensive repairs when they break. Don't get me wrong, I like bells and whistles, but not when they're absolutely worthless in practicality, which is the case with most dryers nowadays.
