Choosing a washer drain hose

bppark

The hose that came with my Kenmore washer was flimsy. My plumber, who was relocating some pipes before I hooked up the appliance, said I should get a better one, so I did. But the only thing I found at my local hardware store was only slightly better, if that. After 6 weeks, it started to leak -- but not at one of the connections. It just developed a hairline split in the middle!

I don't want to have to do this again, so how do I find a drain hose that will last a few years?
