| I opened my washer and out popped a thin metal ring with a spring attached to it. I have no idea where it goes. I thought maybe around the seal because it seems to be that size but it doesn't fit. Can someone help me with this. Thanks so much. |

| It should go around the boot (the big rubber thing that is around the door opening). This link may help you become accustomed to the boot and how to put back on the retaining ring. |
