It's an older machine now but been extremely reliable. Lately my top loader washing machine has stopped drawing hot water when I press start. Here's what I know so far:
* cold washes work fine, it's the hot water that won't draw
* all of the other cycles work (i.e. once the machine is filled manually the first time, the re-fills within a cycle work fine, hot and cold). I'm taking from that, that the taps are fine, the leads to the machine are fine and the filters are fine.
* I've checked the hot water mesh that filters debris and it's clear.

I can only assume its an electronic fault as physically it's all doing fine, once the initial fill is completed. At times, on different types of washes (e.g. heavy duty wash) it will start drawing the water, but then it stops for no obvious reason and I have to resort to the manual fill again.

Any help in diagnostics or home-repair would be appreciated.

Nic
