Has anyone unstacked their Frigidaire washer dryer?

Dh & a friend stacked ours using the stacking kit. It has an adhesive strip. Now dh can't get them apart. Any tips?

BTW, I'm talking about that adhesive strip holding the metal strip to the top of the washer.

Would love to know the answer. I can't even find the kit on-line to see how it was installed.
