Switch to control water level on Maytag washer

I have a Maytag Bravo X top loader. I end up having a smell after several washings and the clothes aren't getting very clean because the water level is too low. Does anyone know if there is a switch that can disconnect the automatic water level?

Bravos X is a marketing name that covers a range of models. The only way to get an accurate answer is cite the specific model of your machine from the model/serial tag that's on it.

However, the short answer is automatic water level sensing, if that's the only way the machine operates, cannot be disconnected.
