Laundry faucet measurements - help

Hi all, just joined this site and it's amazing!
Okay, really stupid question here but please put up with me ;-).
I am thinking of replacing our old wall-mount chrome laundry faucet with a new bronze one. I know the width of a faucet is the distance between the centers of the two holes in the wall, but are length and depth also important when choosing a new wall-mount? If so, *please* tell me what exactly these two measurements are... from wall to spout end, from spout to bottom of sink ( I know, I told you this was a stupid question!), from faucet attachment to rim of sink..???
