Persil confusion

I'm going to give Persil a try in my Samsung 448, with hopes that it will rinse out better than Tide or Charlie's. I prefer a powder and it looks like the choices are:

-Persil Laundry Detergent Powder for Colors

-Persil Universal Powder (Miele) for whites, light
colors and colorfast fabrics

-Persil Universal Megaperls

-Persil Megaperls Color (Miele) for dark and bright colors

So this is all very confusing. I don't often do all white loads. Most loads are medium to light colors (shirts, knit tops, etc.) Would the Universal Powder or Universal Megaperls fade these? What is the difference in the powder and Megaperls? I hope some of you Persil users can help me out on this.

I use the Megaperls. I get the white and colored ones. I can't tell any difference but I use the white for all white loads like towels and the colored for everything else. If you are going to use mostly colored then get that one. I love it, cleans well and rinses out well. I hope you like it! I get the big boxes from my Miele store for $52-$54 per box lasts about 6 months or more.

RE: Persil confusion

I've used Persil Megaperls for years. I buy both formulas (regular & colours). The regular formula contains oxygen bleach, the colours formula doesn't. Technically, the regular Megaperls formula is safe for everything, but I find that blacks remain dark black longer, if washed in the colours formula.

Megaperls have a couple of advantages over the regular powdered Persil. Megaperls is more concentrated, so you use less in each load. I find that a box of Megaperls lasts longer than a larger box of ordinary Persil powder. Megaperls is also less messy. Instead of being a powder, Megaperls are tiny beads, so there isn't much dust, and and if you happen to spill, it's much easier to clean up.

I order Megaperls from ABT Electronics. Their pricing is the same as everywhere else, the service is excellent, and shipping is free.

Thanks for all the good info. I have ordered the Megaperls Color and am anxious to see how it works out.

I am using Megaperls and Megaperls Color. Both clean very well, leave no residue, and come out soft and fluffy from the dryer with only a light, clean smell. Whites come out very clean with Megaperls, and Megaperls color has removed faded stains from my clothes that other products wouldn't touch.

I'm loving it so far!

carol jk,

If it's not too much trouble, could you let us know how the Persil works out for you? I'm thinking of trying it myself, but a bit on the scardy cat side. Thank you in advance if you can. :D
