| Hi,
We are remodeling the whole house and our architect drew the Laundry room with Dryer to the left and the Washer to the right (I think because the Dryer will then be closer to the outside wall to vent it out probably). I was appliance shopping (just preliminary) and noticed that the doors on the washers and dryers are hinged in a way that the only convenient placement would be washer on the left and dryer on the right (this way the doors open outward making transfer of clothes from washer to the dryer (left to right) easy). So do I tell my contractor to plumb it opposite of what my architect said or do machines come with left hinge or right hinge - will I be limited when I go shopping for a washer/dryer soon. Thanks |

| Doors are reversible on some models. Some washers are not, but dryers typically are all. |

| There are still some dryers with "hamper doors" too that open at the top. My favorite. |
Here is a link that might be useful: hamper door
