Fisher & Paykel GWL11 no hot water

Posted by spk320 (My Page) on

I have tested both the hot and cold water valves in the diagnostic mode and each operates properly. In normal use, I hear the valves making noise as I try to adjust the temperature, but I only get cold water. Any thoughts?

Thanks

RE: Fisher & Paykel GWL11 no hot water

For anyone following this post ... the OP contacted me via e-mail, and it seems the problem is related to a long distance for the run of hot water from water heater to the machine. Due to the GWL11 using warm or hot water only for the initial Eco Active wash phase, and a small volume of water at that, the hot flow sometimes doesn't reach the machine before the Eco Active fill is satisfied. I suggested that he use diagnostic mode to run the hot water and pump for purging the line before starting a load when assured warm or hot water is needed. Last communication with the OP, he said that solves the problem.
