Is it truly sand? There is a cement block on the front of the machine that could have been damaged...but to the level of producing sand is highly unlikely to completely impossible....perhaps you bought it from a beach house owner and sand blew up into the machine but could not blow back out again and driving it in a car loosened it such that it began to fall out?

i'v asked the owner if they have any idea where it came from (do not live near the beach) they said no...

@Gidiy: How did you get the washer to your location? Is it possible that the company/person moving it had sand in the truck/van and the washer sat in it getting caught up inside to fall out later?
