I am applying a decorative iron-on patch to the front of a jacket and the instructions say to set iron to approx. 70/80 degrees. I have no idea if this is low, medium or high. Any suggestions?

@asolo - good question. I can't imagine 70/80F melting any adhesive sufficiently for a good bond.

Right, Fahrenheit makes no sense, so it must be Celsius. 70-80 degC is the clothes iron setting for wool, based on a quick web search. It so happens that I used an iron-on patch yesterday, and indeed the instructions said to preheat the iron on the wool setting.

Wool setting sounds about right. That's the first time I've seen a specific temperature given. I couldn't find any charts or equivalents by doing a web search. Thanks for your help.
