Why not go with the WT1201CW which has waveforce. It is the model we have and I like it a alot. I am not sure if waveforce is necessary or not but if gives you the best compromise of what you are looking for.

Thanks. In the end I went with the WT4970CW from HHGreg and it was delivered today.

The left side was all dented in so I negotiated with the delivery guys to have $100 off because where I put it in the laundry room, the left side butts up against a wall anyway, so I got it for $545 with free hoses and a $50 rebate which I think is a bargain.

In the end I decided that I didnt need a window because the machine can be paused at any moment and the lid lifted up to see what the water level is, etc.

Plus with the better interface (the dial to select a program quickly), the controls at the back where my kids cant reach them, the cheaper price and the enormous drum; it was hard to justify losing all that just for a window.

Washing is coming out very clean and undamaged, vibration is minimal.

My only complaint is that the lid lifts up soooo much higher compared to my traditional top-loader that I am going to have to remove a shelf that I have above it.
