I've done a fair share of googling, but it seems that the advice is fairly contradictory - some sources say that you can't use any type of oxygen bleach on protein based fibers, some say that you can only use liquid hydrogen peroxide, and at the same time I've come across a number of cleaning forums where people recommend pure sodium percarbonate for tough wool carpet stains.
What is the Gardenweb consensus - is it safe for wool/cashmere and/or silk?
The reason I ask is that we have started getting our winter clothes out of storage, and I'm finding stains that aren't coming out with regular wool detergents or Vaska, even after pretreating. I'm sure oxygen bleach would do the trick, but don't want to harm the fabric!
