FP GWL11 washer cold water valve followup

Me again. Replaced the cold water valve, and it shuts off during the wash cycle just fine. Hooray! My question concerns the rinse cycle. The cold water seems to shut on and off at 3 second intervals. Is it operating properly? I've spent so much time listening to that washer that I can't remember what it sounds like when it is operating properly.

Depends on what rinse function is running at any given moment, and which cycle and rinse options are selected.

Rinsing may consist of brief spray(s) at 300 RPM spin, and/or longer saturation sprays at 25 RPM rotation, and/or a fill for an agitated rinse.
