New Commercial Grade Washer that COULD be Used in a House.

Wascomat/Laundrylux recently introduced a commercial grade washer that COULD be used in a residence or house - if you wanted to do so. Speed Queen Horizon would be the only choice up to now, in my book. Called, "Crossover," it has the following features.

* 120 voltage
* 300g force in spin cycle
* 3.5 cubic ft drum. (Speed Queen Horizon has a 2.8 cubic ft drum)
* cost just over $2000
* can be bought with or without coin feature.
* pump drain
* rated for 15,000 cycles, which is double what a normal washer is said
to be rated for.

I have not seen one yet. However, I'll let someone else post photos and provide commentary. My take: It's about time, someone else realized that there are consumers out here, who want washers for the long haul, not ones that will break down in the first few years.

Here is some information about the Laundrylux machine. It's been around for awhile now.

Didn't someone here have a commercial Miele in their home? It's the only way to still get one that runs on 240v.

So, basically this is a commercial version of the Electrolux?

Just because a machine says it's commercial doesn't mean it's automatically better.

Well, a 10yr warranty would be an improvement.
